Winemaking An innovative construction expressing a sophisticated, linear architectural concept intentionally different from the local vernacular, intended for the international world of wine lovers. Perfectly integrated into the landscape around it, the winery is set into the natural slope of the hills. The interiors are organized on the basis of the wine-making cycle, revolving around an inner courtyard containing a garden that pays tribute to the traditions of Tuscany. A particularly strategic location, guaranteeing sustainable production and a naturally constant indoor temperature, perfect for aging our wines.
Description
Col di Lamo farm extends on Montalcino’s land for about 200 acres, of which 11 are vineyards. What makes Col di Lamo wines special is Gianna Neri’s ability to imbue them with her great passion and love of her land – much like the exclusive love and respect a mother has for her child. Actually, she considers her wines her “creations (children)”, Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino, Lamo and Acquavite, applying herself personally to their production, following and managing each working phase -just as her father taught her. The Col di Lamo wine label has been creatively designed to highlight a feminine touch: the delicate female profile and Lamo orange and green represent the image Gianna Neri wanted to convey to her farm and products.
